My local hobby shop has an Esci 1/9 Kettenkrad kit for sale. It is the original Esci kit and not the remake by Dragon. I'm thinking about inquiring on the price the next time I'm in there. I think it would look great alongside a 200mm German Figure. Never built anything this big but I think it would be great fun. This picture gives you an idea of just how big 1/9 scale is. The 1/9 Kettenkrad is standing next to a 1/35 version and a 1/72 version.
If the price is right, I will make the purchase. I'll keep you posted.

Damn, that thing is almost big enough to ride!
Buy 2 and you got yourself some Nazi rollerskates. :)

Here is a Kettenkrad in action in the movie Saving Private Ryan. The GI's use it to ride out and bait the Germans into their ambush position.

I wonder if there would be a market for these little bad ass mules?
Anybody want to go into business with me?

Cheers!

Stopped by the hobby shop today. The kit costs $50, a little more than I can spare right now but I do have a birthday coming up in a month......:thumb:
