Snipers can kill gun crews. Here, a Russian sniper sees a German gun being pushed into postion,so he fires and causes a casualty in the crew, making them abandon the gun and begin crawling away.
(Amazingly the German squad right next to the sniper never saw him until after he fired, then they quickly slew him)

Hi all !

I like very much to use sniper, many times they can help to slow tank in their march, if you kill a crew of a leader tank column along a road may create a trafic jam.
The important, for me, is try to place them on an upper floor of a building, or in any covered elevation position even to spot in time long range enemy approaching.

Yes that is a good use for them also...but for scouting a couple of LMGs can do the same trick cheaper then a sniper
