This is Russian company, i have never build anything from them before. Plastic looks little bit weak. Some parts are very nice, but some are terrible. I had to cut out lots of plastic so i could fit rear wheel. With plastic, i cut my fingers to, but i removed all blood stains from model.

edit:
you can see blood on first picture, just below "1:35" :):)

Great subject Zaraza......look forward to seeing what you can make of it.

From what very little I know, Ark are a mix of an old kit from someone else...for aircraft, for example, they do new engraved panel lines where the old kits have raised lines and generally clean it up, and then add some of their own stuff for specific variants. It might be the new stuff that is the roughest? Anyway, interested to hear your thoughts as you do the build.

Chasis painted

Looks to dark because of lightning.
I made some mistakes, but i didn't bother to fix them because they will be "masked" when i do weathering later in process...

Quick progress indeed!

Good idea doing the chassis painting now..will remember that next time I do a build. Leaving the wheels off as long as I did with the Crusader created its own set of problems in terms of making sure the paint shades and weathering all looked the same (they didn't quite).

Is that a Saab Draken instruction sheet in the background? Any pics to share of completed models?

Yes it's Draken. It's not completed :) I have few unfinished models, Draken is one of them...

Just 'standard' rust and worn metal...I thought i add some mud, but don't know about that yet...

Another small update.
I put together both tracks, they needs some adjustment...They fit very good considering worst tracks i've ever seen. They are made from rubber which looks like condom material :)
Lots of parts need cutting and using some putty...

1st phase of weathering is done. I even might leave it like this...Only thing left is to readjust tracks, and put together hull and chassis...

How would yous like to have gone to war in that thing. How tall is the real one? nice looking model. Kind or give one a prespective on it's size and bulk.

Excellent work on the model, but this tank is really ugly...lol !

I did some research on the KV-2. the KV-2 was almost 11 feet tall. the KV-2B was almost 13 feet tall. It is considered self propelled artillery. Scared the be-jeevers out of German infantry. 1 KV-2 held up a German Division for 1 WHOLE day. My kind of tank crew.

AMAZING ! You should think they could have bypassed it or KO-ed it with dynamite or something. Or an 88. The ROF of the KV2 was slow as was its mobility, so why not sneak up on it with infantry.

The Germans could not by-pass it. The lumbering giant sat on a bridge with swamps and marsh all around it for miles. The battle was carried out by the Germans attacking with 50 Mk III's and other assortment of armor. The germans had time to set up a 88 or two. the KV-2 was hit 6 times. The beast carried 3 MG's and had a crew of 6. Infantry tried to sneak up but were unable. Yous mAy Google it to learn more. There is a picture of it and one of the crew member draped on the hull.

I even cannot believe my eyes. I wish I had 5% of your talent. With my big fingers, my models suck. And I don't have an airbrush set. So the ones I made previously are just gray.

I think the infantry did sneak up on it and dynamite it in the end. A valiant stand to the death. Amazed the 88s couldn't penetrate it....they must have been a bad angle relative to the hull.
