Hollywood in action again, the first few minutes of this clip are entertaining and hilarious!
Firstly a German guy wastes a panzerfaust on a softskin US jeep when a burst of MG fire would have done the job just as well, then secondly when the Americans storm the farmhouse, Germans come running out as if taken by total surprise, (one guy is still in his vest) as if they hadn't already heard the jeep getting blown up!
But the real stars of the clip are the geese that stand their ground at the edge of the duckpond without giving an inch despite all the mayhem going on around them..:)

I have this movie and the tanks aren't even Shermans. My poor wife has to listen to me complain endlessly about the lack of realistic armor in the movie. Also, poor casting for the Germans.
The Longest Day beats the pants off of this movie.
meh
good movie POS for entertainment.

The Bridge at Remagen, I like the movie, Chaffee light tank were introduce in the later 44 and early 45, right time for this movie. Yeah, there no Shermans...but the action overall was good...not perfect. Every war movie could be picked apart, and yes some of the tactics sucks...but it still was a great war movie. The way I look at it, there never enough war movies...period LOL.

Ok I hated this movie - it was terrible. I watch what Spike posted and the clip and now I hate it even more. For the period the best War movie - EVER - IMHO
.............. drum roll.........
A BRIDGE TOO FAR
The Longest Day was also good for the period and The Battle of the Bulge (you know the one with Henry Fonda in it) was also good. Someone should start a list of War Movies from the period - nothing done after 1980 and we should get a list going - watching them while waiting on the email from our battle partners.

I confess to enjoying Kelly's Heroes but disliking Big Red One.
Not sure if I'll fit in well enough around here.
~le sigh~
How about terrible war movies? My #1 hate is "The Thin Red Line."

Everybody's got their favourites, I rate Remagen very high and think George Segal's war-weary dog-tired portrayal was spot on.
Bridge too Far was okay but was top-heavy with big name actors all trying to out-act each other, Ryan O'Neal in particular pouted like crazy at the camera every chance he got

LOL - I will agree with that statement Spike. But still it was a decent flick. Also Kelly's Heros I dont like or dislike - it was done in the style of MASH (the movie).
Now The Longest Day - that is an excellent flick but for newer war films - Band of Brothers and The Pacific are excellent.
Where Eagles Dare - that one is good
Battle of The Bulge - good
Big Red One - Sucks
The Young Lions - mediocrity at best
We need to get a list going. One of you guys with more time than me lets start a List and have everyone rank them accordingly. It would be fun.

POS,
Design a scenario for the part of the movie "The Bridge at Remagen "
Playable only as American vs the AI or as a two person game.
Tell me what you think of it.

:tea:
Pvt Ryan, Band of Brothers top my list.
Haven't seen Pacific.
At 2:20 as the HT pulls out you can clearly see an AFV behind it on the road, looks like a Greyhound, surely that would of been a better vehicle to approach a known enemy occupied building, a couple of rounds of 37mm HE through the windows would of done the job i think.
I love the observation about the waterfowl by the pond during the fight, i guess that was take twenty, so they just took it in their stride :)
