View Full Version : 1/72 Italeri Ju87 Stuka B2
Shot in progress of my current build, an Italian Ju87B2 that took part in the attacks on Malta. Can either do the B2 version, with the four little bombs on the outer wings, or the R2 version with drop tanks for extended range....these were the ship hunters ranging over the Mediterranean. Am probably going to fit the bombs, as it will be a long long time before I do another Stuka and I want that iconic 5 bomb loadout...even if it is going to have Italian markings!

Great cockpit detail for such a tiny scale. Definitely like the look of the Stuka armed to the teeth!

Always had a sweet spot in my heart for the JU-87....nice job!
Nother shot in progress...decals on, need to attach aerial and winglight, then on to a panel line wash.
Getting the colour bands on, especially the propellor, was kind of fiddly. Had to paint in the white line after finding that the decal provided was too short (by a long way) to actually go around the plane.....black mark to Italeri there on what is otherwise a very nice kit.

Is it on italian planes the same as on italian tanks ? You know, the ones with the rear view mirrors to have a look at the battle...:RpS_lol:

Nice looking plane, I like the Italian markings.
All done....here's a few views. On to finishing up the phantom, then we're into the Group Build.
Oh...also got an WWII RAF Control Tower on the go, but it sits about the place taking up very little space, so won't delay the Marder.

Great work, nicely weathered. You get some really good results with the 1:72 scale.
