@Meat Grinder and myself along with @Artemis258 have been having discussions on our favorite guns that we would like to own or plan on purchasing on the chat box. Here is your opportunity to join in on that subject cause lets face it, you like guns too! I'll start with a vid of a gun that I think MG is gonna buy and possibly myself in the very near future,

Unless you live in Switzerland. IIRC, military service is compulsory and you can keep your military issue weapon as a civilian. I think you are also required to remain competent with it and are never really fully discharged, as they are truly a civilian militia.

Yea, I tend to agree with old Chuck Hawks high opinion of revolvers. Here is my "nightstand" gun, a Ruger "Speed Six" .38 special that dad bought new in 1982 and never fired. I bought it from him a couple of years ago and have put about 200 rounds through it. Sweet shooting gun. They were ubiquitous as police carry guns in the 1970s. Not much can go wrong with it, just pull the trigger and it works. Single or double action.

Yep, what you want is being able to pull the trigger and it goes bang!

My Stuff....

'Murica, f*ck yeah!...because I can own and shoot these legally. (We are kind of a crazy sort, aren't we!)
I was thinking of buying a Walther like that and was talked out of it for jamming issues. Have you had many problems with yours. Fantastic collection BTW

That is a nice pistol

@mjkerner Nice collection!! No junk there.

I have a few others:

The Mossberg is my basement home defense gun. I keep it loaded with seven rounds of #1 buckshot. The 10-22 is just ubiquitous. Everyone should own a 10-22 IMO. The derringer is kind of a novelty. But it's very solidly made. Most derringers are, quite frankly, junk. Bond Arms is quality. It's quite heavy for such a small gun.

I also have a Colt .380 that's in the shop. I plan to order the Henry .44 magnum lever action carbine tomorrow (see Bucky's original post).

Two other things I would like to get this year: A Colt AR15A4 and a bolt action .308 .

Bucky, no problems with the Walther at all. 400-500 rounds through it with no jamming. It really shoots nice too. One dealer I overheard at a gun show talking with a couple of potential clients, said his ultimate favorite weapon was his PPQ (and he wasn't trying to sell one to them at the time).

I have a 1000 rounds(+) plus through each of the Rock Island 1911s. The 1919 vintage Colt I bought just last month from a friend-of-a-friend whose aunt was selling off her hubby's 164-gun collection. I paid $300; I threw in another $100 for 800 rounds of .45 ACP. Couldn't pass that deal up! I checked all the parts (I love stripping down 1911s) and except for the rear sight (put on in the '80s, apparently), and the reproduction grips, all parts are original.

The Judge is my nightstand weapon. I take one of the RI .45s in my truck when I'm out and about, camping, traveling, grocery shopping (lol), etc. I have had my CCL for 3 years, but still haven't bought a smaller pistol for on-person carry. Have my eye on a Ruger .380.

This is my "Someday I'm gonna get me one of these babies" weapon. I just need a spare $8800+:

Badger, last time I shot the FAL was up your way (you're around Fond du Lac, right?). That Gun Club north of Oshkosh...can't think of the name, atm. I've put less than a 100 rounds through it, but it was surprisingly accurrate with iron sights. It's wicked and just fun to shoot. Needed to rest it on a bench, though. I can't imagine having to lug it around in the field. But my Dad lugged a BAR through the Pacific and my older brother an M60 in VN, so I won't complain about lugging to the truck and back, lol! This summer I'll shoot it more, and carry it around (empty, of course) in the backyard to get used to the heft. I have a video my son took of me firing it at that range. If I can put it up on YouTube I'll post it here.

Don't expect too many posts form non-US citizens...

Well, more accurately, don't expect too many posts for non-US gun-owning citizens.... ;D

Question from one who knows nothing about guns. As You-tube is want, it will take you down a convoluted playlist if you are not careful....

Apart from many of the complete morons in this ensemble of clips, what specifically has occurred mechanically to result in magazine ejections at 4:30 and 5:40 in this vid? Incorrectly seated magazine or something?
