CMx1 Era Games Now on GoG

One of the nice things about GoG is they get those older games to work on modern PCs. I can literally play the old SSI "gold box" games from the early 1990s (Pool of Radiance, Secret of the Silver Blades, etc) on my current desktop. Very cool.
Wow! Pool of Radiance was one of the very first games I played when I got a computer. Boy did I book some hours on that thing. Had secret of the Silver Blades too but never got too far for on that one for some reason.

They are the same as the 'Visa Patch' version according to Steve at BF. You can mess around with a few settings in a preference file though and also Nvidia control panels. But boy these textures are rubbish. :D I'd also forgotten we used to have to wait for all off map support that was in the air to fall before the 60 second turn time was up. :p

Yeah, I remember by the end you had have the hell modded out of the CMx1 games to make it look decent on a good size PC screen ... :D

I reckon if anyone has the bulk mod pack still kicking around for each game to save the rest of us the hassle? Could be a good thing for the modern version of CMMODS.

Downloaded CMBB just for a laugh ... and damn those graphics are eye wateringly primitive...:D

I'm still playing CMAK and CMBB. From my new PC too! With some mods of course...
I find the graphics not that important. The game still give me a lot if fun.
