    Kampfgruppe (KG)

    Rules Section:

Participation: This tourney will be an open competition so it will be open to all who want to participate. However, strict rules will apply to how long each round will last. A firm date will be set when each game must be completed. The battles will move along at a rapid rate but not too fast. Each round will probably last at least six weeks but not more than eight. Any player who does not feel that they can finish a game in that time frame should NOT sign up. These rules will be STRICTLY enforced and all decisions made by the tourney meister (Lord Bane) will be final. If you can handle these rules then by all means...sign up!

Game Concept: Kampfgruppe is a small tournament in which the players fight a series of four or five CMAK battles. It is based on the Battle of the Bulge but is not historical. The players will create a German Kampfgruppe which will be their force that will fight from one battle to the next. The idea is that the player is in command of the one of the German SS Spearheads during the initial stages of the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 (example KG Peiper). The Player creates a Kampfgruppe comprised of SS Mechanized forces possibly bolstered by high quality Fallschirmjaegers infantry units. These units will form the main body of the players Kampfgruppe and survivors of each battle will move to the next battle. The player will receive replacements between battles based on the results of the previous battle. The number of points in objectives (Flags captured) will equate to the number of points that the player will recieve as reinforcements/replacements in the next battle. There will also be some surprise forces that will show up at the start of the battle. Sometimes the player will know they are coming prior to buying their new forces and sometimes they won't know until the battle starts. ...
