I'm deno30.

I've been playing CM2 games since I first saw the Armchair General videos on youtube.

I've found a few people to play with on The Blitz, but they keep matching me with inactive players; like inactive for the past five years folks.

I saw a bunch of Hapless's videos and they lead me here.

Hi deno30 how's things?

Which CM games you play and what part of the world you from?

Things are good I mostly play CM:RT and CM:FB now. I've played basically all the titles outside CM:BS. My interest here is mainly to find people to play CM:FB against since The Blitz hasn't keeps pairing me long term inactives.

As to my location, I'm from NY

If it s games your after this place is bursting with them.

Ha!! I was the victim of one of Hapless's most recent CM PBEM videos......!

The original reason I got into the game was the Armchair generals videos. I saw the video you were in. Most of my friends war gaming friends watch CM too, but they won't touch battlefront games due to the pay for patches mentality.

*due to their "I don't want to pay to keep the games I play updated to the latest standards" mentality. FTFY.

It can be a hurdle. The biggest thing is getting over the notion that you are paying for a game that you will only play for 40 or so hours then delete (like most games). That just isn't the case for the CM series.

I mean sometimes I like the fact that CM is kind of unknown because you don't get as much crap on the web about it. At the same time I just wish they'd put one of these on Steam so that I didn't have to keep listening to people tell me it's just Graviteam Tactics: Operation Star and I don't like that kind of game.

Yea, it would be great if BFC could somehow work out a way to get their games on Steam (and still stay in business). There have been discussions....long discussions....about this on the BFC forums, and Steve has said they have done the math and it would not be good for BFC. Perhaps that will change sooner or later.

Welcome,

I only use the Blitz for Scenario of the Month, always log battles on ladder, but I love playing scenarios.

(btw
Hi I'm Zinzan,
the deeply uncool, strange and moderately weird one - Every Message board should have a couple :) )
