So, my father was in the army for 22 yrs, serving abroad for many of those years - I lived overseas a lot during my childhood.
I was less than a year old when he was posted to Singapore, and here's a link to the time he was posted there - he was in the ACC and although he's not in the photos here (click the Units link and select Others to see the ACC snaps), he knew many of the men shown.

Dad and mum moved to live on Koh Samui after he retired but have just returned to live in the UK.
I had a happy childhood, and count myself lucky to have travelled such a lot at a young age.
