I have a mini-campaign where we return to the role of the PMCs of Bravo-team (you know from Operation Petticoat and that one narrative/roleplaying campaign I half-assed million years ago).
Bravo-team is this time hired by a central African goverment for troop training, VIP protection and security/threat assesments. While this nation has had a recent relativly good run of stability it has far longer history of internal conflict making it ripe for mercenary work.
You get to bring your own gear for this deployment. The loadouts will be setup by me before hand, there will be no arsenal. And this loadout will be with you for the duration (unless you ditch it during a mission).
So send me what you'd like to bring, deadline for this is roughly end of Saturday, so I'll have time to implement it. If you don't post your equipment list, I'll assume your character showed up at work without their tools and will be issued with whatever the local forces are willing to spare.
And I'll just quote myself from the other thread where I first posted about this, about what kind of gear to aim for:
Yo everyone, I decided to take the mercenaries of Bravo-team from storage and dust them off for a series of missions in Africa and it's bring your own gear-day at work.
So sent me via PM (the forum PM/Discord/Steam, no need to clutter this thread) what kind of gear you want. Weapons, attachments, vests, clothing, etc.
Keep in mind that Bravo-team has been hired to train local forces, do security assesments and provide VIP-protection so your gear should roughly reflect that.
They are not in country to snipe at EW-equipment from 3km with anti-material rifles or to hunt tanks. So no, you won't be getting a Spike-launcher no matter how much money and shady arms dealer contacts your operator has in your headcanon.

Sounds great!
Can I get some help from you regarding loadout, given the restrictions?

With my lag, I need something that can fire full-auto to put an enemy down (but not an MG). I'd like lots of magazines. :2draw:
I also like having a scope, and nightvision just in case.

Lots of bandages and some morphine tubes.
If there's still room, I can carry support (or medical) gear for others as needed.
Thanks! :D

I got a few things on Sunday, but I will do my best to be on time.

Questions from my side,

Are we Opfor, Bluefor or Indfor, so I can choose from the correct wardrobe?

What is the common local ammo/mag type? I’d prefer to choose the best crappy primary weapon but have easy access to loot ammo rather than choose something with an ammo type that once empty I have to pickup a crappy crappy weapon.

Do you need a specific role, Medic, Engineer, LMG etc.?

@Concord
Boot up Arma with the modern modlist and from main menu go to the virtual arsenal and test shit out.
And don't worry about individual magazines or bandages (see my answer to Double below), I'll set somekind of a basic load, unless you want very specific types of magazines or ammo. Just focus on your weapons & attachments, vest and if there is other specialist piece of kit you want, like the NVGs you already mentioned.

From game logic standpoint we're set up as Indfor.
I'm not putting any restriction on clothing other than maybe the semi-futuristic (mostly CSAT) stuff from vanilla.

From left to right: Me (god I love Tigerstripe), Red, Aurelius, a local army trooper. There's also plenty local militias and other armed groups who use whatever, so dress code in the area is everyone dresses in everything.
What is the common local ammo/mag type?
Stuff like 7.62 NATO, 7.62x39 are the most common rounds around along with most pistol calibers. More exotic stuff like FN 5.7 or 9x39 are propably gonna be bit hard to find.
I'm not gonna be anal about mag compatability issues. Let's say you are running low on your SCAR-H after taking out a dude with a FAL, they use same ammo but different mags. I'm willing to give you SCAR mags via Zeus and in-universe you unloaded the FAL mags and refilled your empty SCAR mags. Of course that kind of fiddling is best left for after the firefight.
Also if we start a mission in a base camp of some description you're mostly likely gonna have access to a supply and medical crate so you can tweak your ammo and med, etc loads or put that stuff in your cars.

We can hash out who is the medic at the briefing and I can just assign the medic powers to that person via zeus, though when I run the mission the trend seems to be I'm also the medic. People are of course free to volunteer early.
If you think the previously mentioned mission profiles require LMGs feel drag one around. Note that we have been provided with a pair of Land Rovers, one of which has a M2.

Probs should have gone more in-depth about this in the opening post but I quickly slapped it together just before leaving for work.

You forgot my balaclava!

Also, since we are mercs in Africa, it is time for that song again>

If i wasn't so god damn lazy i would write you a script for that, as you can get the caliber info from most mags, and round count. We'll see, maybe i can get one done tomorrow.

I was originally looking for a flannel shirt but i couldn't find one. Someone should grab the tracksuit and a bolt action rifle for that behind enemy lines look.

OK, sent through my load out, I’m expecting another cool photo with me in my kit and the team (y)
Here you go, decided to finally fiddle with the animation viever and stuff to do some header images for the missions.
Forgot to mention we'll be doing two missions since the first one will propably be very quick.

Mission 1 - Bravo-team is tasked with chauffeuring a local official.

Mission 2 - Bravo-team is sent to the remote Mutambara-region to inspect few local outposts.

Sooooo, I’m having to go around and press the flesh with the locals whilst @Vartuoosi, the Operator, is all sultry and cool inspecting his shoes :ROFLMAO:

The dude needs to think about getting a new suit, brown is so 1970’s

If you haven't seen it, the Polpox Artwork Supporter mod is great for creating images. A bit of a downside is that you can't edit the mission with that mod loaded as it would likely add a dependency.
