I know it's short notice but I'll be running another WW2 session for Arma 3 on Sunday 9th September (this coming Sunday at) 13:00 BST

Please ensure you have no other mods running.

Comms will be via in game VON (Voice Over Network)

House rules;

1. No team killing
2. No shooting in the base/briefing area
3. No swearing

Gameplay will focus on tactical teamwork and good communications. I will turn down my video settings to see if that helps with performance. As ArmA is CPU intensive, I hope this will resolve the issues we had last time with the server crashing.

I will start the briefing at 13:05 BST. Please make sure you are on the server well before then so any connection issues can be sorted out prior to starting - especially if you are new to ArmA.

Yes please. Can we have ten minutes b4 hand to make sure im rdy to rock Sun.
I just have basic Arma3 no vehicles etc..
Whats VON? How do i get that?

Damn! No can do this Sunday. I will spend my other time learning the game though.

VON is Voice Over Network. Its the basic in game voice communication system that comes with ArmA. You just press 'Caps Lock' to talk. We'll explain channels on the day.

Play some single player vanilla ArmA between now and then, get used to movement, crouching, sprinting, changing weapons, weapon selection modes, throwing grenades, how to bring up the map and using your inventory. We'll go through some basic stuff on the day as well.

Have done so last 24hr. Can you confirm something for me.
According to the controls the NUM button changes views..when press it nothing happens.

Not sure, check 'Num Lock' is on. Perhaps it only works in vehicles?

You won't need it for Sunday as the view is locked to first person only. Use alt+mouse movement to turn your head.
