I've watched several YT videos of this recently and really liked what I saw. It now has a 50 mission campaign game, from either side, and 30 historical mission as well.
Add rolling your own custom battles and it finally sold me.
Hard to make a mistake with this @ $9.99 on Steam.

Won my first 2DD v 2DD battle, barely.
I saw a little bit of what I was afraid I might see...frustration.
Just floating around watching all the ships miss their shots is a little low on the excitometer.
Yes, I know. If I don't want that then don't miss. (sigh)
Has a lot of appeal for a beer & pretzels game.
