Bosnian Civil War 1992 - 1995

@Cargol what was the Sarajevo tunnel?
It was a tunnel built by Bosnian Muslims during the Bosnian war in order to link Bosnian Muslim territories which were cut off by Bosnian Serbs.Bosniacs used the tunnel to move people and provisions in and out of the besieged Sarajevo.Although the existance of the tunnel was known to Bosnian Serbs the exact location was unknown. As far as i know a second tunnel was being built,a larger one in which even vehicles could be moved but it was never put in action as Dayton agreement finished the war before its completion.
The vast part of the tunnel was covered after the war with only a small part left to serve as a kind of museum.

In this area it was the frontline in Mostar during the Croat-Bosniac War.
Bosnian Muslims held territory in both banks of river Neretva which was bridged by the famous Mostar bridge..The side from which the pic is taken was the Croat side while the ruined buildings were Muslim held.
