While chocolate has been around for centuries, it wasn't until two Canadian friends went fishing that the world was introduced to the chocolate bar. James and Gilbert Ganong founded the Ganong candy factory in St. Stephen, New Brunswick in 1873. As the legend goes, James' son Arthur teamed up with Ganong candy maker George Ensor to make long moulded pieces of chocolate mixed with nuts. At that link You can read 1847 first ever molded chocolate bar at Fry´s chocolate factory. Another origin spoke of US guy who bought german machine for producing chocolate bars. ??? Please, explain taht!

Wouldn´t be the first time. ;) Is there an independent origin what can attest that? I ask only out of curiosity. It´s not so important for me but I´m a curious about that topic.

Syncronised swimming.. ??! . .. numberz , you kept that on the list ?! Invented by the Canadian Royal life Savers ? Didn't they have anything better to do

besides. Most of the Lifesavers here is Australia are men .. so .. you mean .. you have MALE synconised swimming? !:eek: ..the Horror, the horror ..
