From all his i get that the whole story smells like poop and both sides are responsible for atrocities and war crimes including chemical attacks.
Another fact is that again the terrorists have a training ground to increase their skills as it happened before in Bosnia,Kosovo,Iraq,Afghanistan,Chechenya.

It's a f***** mess ... all started originally with I guess good intentions of overthrowing a pretty nasty dictatorship and now deteriorated into this messy civil war ... and hundreds of thousands of civilians, women and children who have no choice in the matter caught in the middle of it. Tragic.

I am no fan of Assad, but is it not curious that we [western countries] seem to use them as we wish , then when it suites us we attack them and say they are bad regimes etc?
i.e. The case of Canad's Arar (sp) He was a person that the Canadian Gov't thought had ties to terrorist after 911. Our super police grabbed him and handed him over to the USA s CIA. They in turn shipped him to Syria to allow them to extract information from him. Long and short of this a few years later he was returned to Canada, after this long torture period without any information extracted, (because they was no Information to extract!) So rightfully so he sued the Canadian Gov't and won millions of dollars in compensation. I say good on him. There was never anyone of our criminal gov't held to account for this injustice. Another sad day for Canada.
So I don't point fingers at their dictators because when you do our dictators don't look much better.
