Just started watching this mini-series on Prime Video. Kind of a German Band of Brothers ish. Production quality is excellent. Language is German with subtitles, but easy to watch. Recommended. Interesting to watch the war on the Eastern Front from the German perspective. Monk

It’s pretty good — has some outrageous coincidences in it and one huge logic flaw in the plot, but very good overall.

Great character development, especially the younger brother.

I recall that this was originally released on German public television in 2013 as "Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter" ("Our mothers, our fathers"). The intended audience being modern Germans; directed to them as a general narrative about their parents (and grandparents) caught up in the post-Weimar experiences of Nazi Germany. For that kind of drama, it is quite good and well worth watching.
