Hey everybody,

My name is Patrick but I'll go by Hauptmann or whatever sticks. I'm 20 years old from Canada. I'm not new to Combat Mission, but have yet to play multiplayer. I bought CM Shock Force in 2014 and I have slowly but steadily collected every title in the collection (except CMA). I joined looking to start playing multiplayer as after hundreds of hours of Quick Battles I find the AI is getting repetitive and I can trust the AI to even pick a reasonable force. Love the games and love the challenge but I'm just looking for a new one.

Greetings, @HauptmannKyle! You've already received @Hedgehog's Welcome Wagon hand-outs! They make good reading.

When you are ready for H2H play, consider using CMHelper to manage your matches.
  1. Set up a personal account at Dropbox.
  2. Check out CMHelper explanatory video at http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/threads/how-to-cm-helper-and-dropbox.25557/.
  3. Download and install CMHelper from http://gregories.net/CMHelper/User Manual/CMHelper.html?GettingStarted.html.
Then, post your first request for a match either here or at the forum for the game(s) you own.

Welcome to The Few Good Men. You've come to the right place for solid PBEM opportunities. Good luck and good gaming! Have fun.

Tomato - sticks and stains - 2 for the price of one (What??!!).
Welcome to the BESTEST community on the web - full of interesting, strange, knowledgable, funny and supportive peoples (and a couple of weirdo's - you'll figure out who they are all by yourself).

Combat mission tends to become more addictive the more you play and then you get into H2H and it's like the BEST "stuff" out there, frustrating, obnoxious, occassionaly mad but always fun, always new and delightfully frustrating as you play humans who astonish etc you....

Looks like Patrick and I are going to cross swords.

@Meat Grinder That's just cold, though I admire your chase after sweet, sweet fresh meat.......... reminds me of me at Freshers Week  (every damn year)

Should be a solid welcome to the real world experience. This isn't the AI anymore! Lol

Errrrrrrr I'd say so, OTOH it's good to play with the experienced (OLD he means) opponents - they can teach you stuff and theirs nothing like defeat to sharpen your ability (Zinzan should be an expert in many things according to this theorey).

In all seriousness Meat Grinder is - I hear - a Great opponent and a really nice guy.
