Australian couple buys a former New Zealand Navy ship for a few hundred thousand dollars.

They plan to use it to help monitor and work on sunken Japanese vessels from World War 2 which are corroding and leaking oil into the Pacific Ocean.

Lots of American ships out there too. My grandpa's ship is one of them. He was a sailor on the USS George F. Elliot which was sunk early in the Guadalcanal campaign.
