I’m joining up to find historic conversions and Combat Mission opponents.
I’m currently active U.S. Army, Engineer, who’s retiring next February. Gave 20+ active years to Uncle Sam!
I’ve been playing CM and Close Combat since the beginning, but never against a human opponent.
I really prefer smaller company size or smaller actions.

Welcome aboard, John. Thank you for your service. Many FGM members also served in the military branches of various nations. If you would like an introduction to "H2H" (human VS human) play, I'll be happy to step up. I do prefer ladder games, but am open to pretty much anything, be it scenario or quick battle.
 
Welcome Monk, and thank you also for your service. I joined just a few days ago and have several battles underway alrady. Playing a a real live combatant will be different for sure.

Whey you are ready for H2H play, consider using CMHelper to manage your matches.
Then, post your first request for a match either here or at the forum for the game(s) you own.

OK, I'm getting my Combat Mission games organized and updated.
I have Battle for Normandy (no added modules yet), Red Thunder and Black Sea up to Ver 4.
For mods, I'm mainly using visual upgrades, esp Juju's UI mod (really like the interface look!).
I've been chatting with Cowboy about a RT match. Sounds good.

Come in, dress neat but casual and don't poke the oldsters too much, they bite. :)
