In the North Atlantic convoy named "HX-112", british destroyer HMS Walker, causes U-99 to scuttle (40/43 captured, including famous captain Otto Kretschmer -1912/1998-, the most successful German U-boat commander in the War. Kretschmer (aka "silent running" ), from Sept 1939 until his surrender, he sank 47 ships, a total of 274,333 tons.
