..."The 32nd. Infantry Regiment was founded in 1741. The regiment is received the 32nd. military number only in 1769. They base was in Budapest, that is why called later "Home Regiment". In the WW1 the regiment suffered severe losses. According to the the Trianon treaty limiting points of the squad had to be disbanded. It's re-organization was in the WW2..."

I enjoy looking (traveling?) these places up and their historical background.
Interesting the Soviets let a statue that looks like it's in German soldier remain left standing.

I would very much enjoy a trip to Budapest :cool:
 
Don't know when but the plan for the next trip is probably Italy, the Gustav (Winter) line and Anzio,
Market-Garden is also a possibility depending on if we feel like drinking beer more than Italian wine. :cheerso:

Right now sunny Italy is winning out :cool:
