Currently languishing in Tenerife for a week as I have only had a day and a half off work this year.
Weather: Hot
Scenery: Very nice
Rations: Satisfactory (half board and decent enough)
Locals: Very polite.

Me: Just starting to unwind......
You lot: Under observation.

Note to self.........remember that lampposts don’t move out of the way, not even for a sober Englishman.

Not self employed - am a Site Manager for a large school.
This year I have had to cover a lot due to unforeseen absence within my team so this is a much needed break.
We are off to Canada for three weeks in September

Some more observations:
Trying to take photos of dolphins on a boat that is moving can result in failure, including random snaps of my feet, the sky and other things.

My sea legs - I have looked for them everywhere, but think that I left them at home.

When swimming under water, sometimes it is advisable to open your eyes so that you don’t collide with things, including the wall of the pool and other people.

Black sand is fekkin hot on the soles of bare feet when the weather is hot.
