Hey, I'm Joe and I'm from the USA. I have always been interested in history and got my start playing war games with Close Combat when I was a kid. I picked up CMBN back in early 2017 and absolutely dug it. Since then I have also gotten CMFI and CMRT. I have mainly played against the AI along with some hot seat games versus my little sister (she is a ROTC cadet). In the real world I was an enlisted army language analyst for five years, got out and got a degree with the GI Bill, and am currently trying to go back in as a pilot. Looking forward to cutting my teeth against a real opponent soon.

Greetings, @Bearstronaut! You should soon receive @Hedgehog's Welcome Wagon hand-outs! They make good reading.

So, Joe, what language(s) do you specialize?

You've come to the right place for solid PBEM matches. When you are ready for H2H play, consider using CMHelper to manage your matches.
  1. Set up a personal account at Dropbox.
  2. Check out CMHelper explanatory video at http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/threads/how-to-cm-helper-and-dropbox.25557/.
  3. Download and install CMHelper from http://gregories.net/CMHelper/User Manual/CMHelper.html?GettingStarted.html.
Then, post your first request for a match either here or at the forum for the game(s) you own.

Welcome to The Few Good Men. Good luck and good gaming! Have fun.

Thanks for the info!
I was a Korean linguist. Spent 3 years in the ROK earlier this decade. I'm hoping one day that Battlefront decides to make a Korean War Combat Mission, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hey, so I installed the CMHelper and it is working fine except it doesn't recognize that I have CMRT. Got any tips to get it working?

Glowing greetings to you @Bearstronaut

Welcome to the cubbyhole for Combat Mission players, it's warm, cosy and occassionally smelly, but it's homely. (Bit like it's members)

Re: CMH - I have no idea, but may be worth checking that CMRT is installed to default location and/or version number/fully patched?

I actually figured it out. Thanks though!
