As an exercise in mindless mental meanderings, I took out a dollar bill and measured it. It is about 6-1/8 inches, but I am rounding it to 6 inches for my purposes. The US National Debt is 30 trillion dollars, so the length of a dollar is half a foot, so if you laid dollars end to end that would be two dollars a foot resulting in a line of dollars 15 trillion feet long. Divide that by 5280' per mile and that's a line of dollars 284,090,909 miles long. A round trip from the Sun to Mars is 283,200,000 miles. You would still have a line of dollars 890,909 miles long, which would be enough for 1 complete round trip to the moon and then enough to get you there but only 94% of the way back.
