Welcome to The Few Good Men

Thanks for visiting our club and having a look around, there is a lot to see. Why not consider becoming a member?

Theater of Operations

Like most of us I am interested, my concern is what is the appetite for the one sided battles. I think many of the pro axis players will get sick of being beaten up on a regular basis when they are accustomed to equal (read pro axis) battles in CM. Be interesting to see if it causes a shift in perceptions. For me this is how our campaigns should be. Victory may need adjusting to simply reflect performance against an historical outcome, as opposed to a clear win...

@Nathangun, thank you for posting these updates.
@mTk - very interesting indeed!

As someone who has never participated in a FGM campaign, I know that current campaigns scale division counters to Combat Mission company sized engagements. It's not clear to me how maps are made for the battles being fought, expecially when ToO states that their own "small" battles cover 5km by 5km battle areas.

Then I watched the ToO "Battle Resolution" video and was thrilled to see the "Combat Mission OOB" feature planned for this! Also, according to statements posted at http://www.awargamersneedfulthings.co.uk/2017/03/theater-of-operations-game-pt-1.html, ToO wrote (Italics mine):

Future Plans

Once the base game is ready for public sale and enough DLC is prepared to go with the initial release, providing greater amounts of DLC will be the initial priority. We will also look at getting mobile development underway just as soon as possible. If ToO sells well enough, Steve at Battlefront.com has indicated on their forum that they are willing to join forces in an effort to allow their Combat Mission series of games to interface directly with Theater of Operations. See for yourselves on the BFC forums: http://community.battlefront.com/to...l-level-game-announcement/page-3#entry1444644

I think this bears very close watching by FGM members. Good luck to Buckeye Battlegroup!

I have started the process of fixing it. First page is done and so am I :)

That is one possibility and likely a good choice for many. Given that nothing is stopping those guys from doing the same as photo bucket - otehr than common sense that is :) . I am using my own web domain where I have installed an instance of http://piwigo.org/ on my server.
