Hello everyone,

Firstly thanks to Bootie for setting this up.
This section of the forum in the coming days and weeks will become a place for videos and threads made on strategy / tactics and CM game mechanics.

Regardless of experience with the game, you might find out something new. Or realize something that you may in future wish to give more attention in your matches.
Feel free to share any advice or tips you may have, as we all know it is much more interesting to fight an opponent that understands and knows the intricacies of a game like Combat Mission and thus any victories or even defeats will feel more rewarding for both parties involved.

I may have lost or not won a game due to being a bit too slow but the number I've lost by rushing things is much higher.

Just saw this, and think it's great to make a space for strategy and tactics discussion. Hope people contribute.

Get good at using on board mortars in direct fire. If your mortar team can't see the unit you want to fire at, see if you can target the ground nearby. Three or four well placed mortar rounds can decimate a squad.

Use area fire, you can get lucky...even if you don't hit the unit, it may force a move into the LOS of another unit that can.

Could I most humbly suggest that this be moved to it's own forum thread possibly at top or bottom of the
BATTLEFRONTS COMBAT MISSION section.

Here it is buried amongst lots of WW2 campaigns whereas the stuff in it should be for all CM players.
