On Location
Most of the exterior shots for the series were filmed primarily at Franklin Canyon, Ca., located just above Beverly Hills...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/personnel/franklin_location.html

On a couple of occasions they also filmed exterior shots at the Korbel Winery in Guerneville, Ca (Northern Ca.)...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/personnel/korbel.html

During the final season, the crew once more traveled to Northern Ca. to film at the Hop Kiln Winery, in the heart of the Ca. wine region...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/personnel/hopkiln.html

During the hiatus between seasons three and four, Gene Levitt took a production crew to Europe for location shooting in the Loire, France region. While no episodes were filmed there, the location footage they got there was used in several episodes...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/personnel/france.html

The third season episode "The Hunter" was shot in Cucamonga at Mission Vineyard winery in Cucamonga, Ca...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/personnel/missionvineyard.htm

For the third-season opener, producers sent a crew to Squaw valley to film snow sequences for Combat's only winter episode, "The Silver Service", they had enough footage to use in another snow episode, "Mountain Man"...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/episodes/Locations_Squaw_valley.html

The French village, with its familiar clock tower and stone bridge, was located on the MGM backlot...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/episodes/Locations_MGM_backlot.html

A full rundown of all locations used in the filming of 'Combat!', can be found here...http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/episodes/onlocation.html

I love that you posted these. I wasn't born when they first came out But loved them when they were in reruns in the 70's when I was 8 or so. The Sargent in episode one that dies after the boobie trap is the same guy that played "Cowboy" in Kelly's Hero's.
