'Vikings' Spinoff Picked Up by Netflix
'Vikings: Valhalla' will take place 100 years after the conclusion of the original series.
Just started watching this series on APrime a few weeks ago, made it to season 3. Yeah it's not bad so far. Good to hear about the Netflix pickup of this. The gloves will certainly come off in the blood/gore & sex/nudity departments on Netflix over the History channel. Will be kicking off my S3 binge tomorrow night. 
. . . . and "Vikings" finale season 6 starts 4-Dec on History Channel.
Well, I certainly dropped the ball on this one! Despite Badger73's notification above I completely missed the release of the final episodes.

If your into the Total War games at all then check out Thrones of Brittainia. Starting date is 878 AD. I'm currently conquering the British Isles as the Northumbrian faction. They represent Ragnar's sons looking for revenge against the Anglo Saxons. Good times!

Is Thrones of Britannia any good? I had it on my Steam wishlist forever but never picked it up because I worry it's dumbed down "Hollywood history" and full of bugs... Mount and blade Warband was set around then, should be cheap to get now.
I already have it, and with the Viking conquest modification. It's quite good if you can accept the ancient graphics.
