Did you manage to spend some time at Eilean Donan Castle? Beautiful spot.

Had a few drams, but not really a whisky or spirits man -- beers and ales moreyou taste. They did have a good ale in Tobermory on Mull called Tobermory Terror - named after a naval commander who trained fledgling land lubeer RN reserve convoy escorts crews in the sheltered waters between the western Isles - his training methods were unorthodox they say :D
 
Observation on travelling in UK: fresh air is not a big thing... as soon as there's a whiff of cloudy/rainy weather ... every interior space (like hotel and guest house breakfast rooms, trains, shops) is sealed tighter than a tick's arsehole and turned into a sweltering, airless, overheated sauna ... (even if the temperature outside is basically the same as the previous clear, sunny day) ... for the love of... open some windows!!
