Except this "Other than that I’ll use full squads or split squads as my recon. " Good way to lose a whole squad real quick. Split 'em always - modern weaponry and explosives are lethal to bunches of men,,,,,

Nice article. Many advices are obvious, but it is difficult to remember them in the battle...
I like the phrase "If you can find a volunteer amongst your virtual troops". I have just remembered how we (me & my friend, being still schoolmates) played WW2 RTS for Soviets, found the "betrayers of the motherland" among our soldiers (for better "realism") and executed them with an AT-gun.
Now the truth is that I just can't send my (even virtual) soldier to death. Maybe it is necessary to have dice and cast lots between squads, for better realism?
