OMG! It's around turn 7 or so and it's been a continuous wave of Orc attacks. No breathing room whatsoever! For the most part they aren't completely stupid, but quality can win out over quantity if properly organized.
What I've learned:
1 Patience. On the first turn do not move forward. The Orcs will reach you without any help from you.
2. During set up move all your troops together in a defensive perimeter with over lapping fire zones if possible. Don't leave a unit or two on the flanks "Just in case". A circle has no flanks.
3. You can inflict "friendly" fire casualties so be careful with LOS.
4. First few turns the Orcs will attack piecemeal if you let them for easy kills. Let them.
5. Don't assume killing the first wave of Orcs means your job is done and now you can move forward.
6. Your hovercraft on hilltops are deadly. They can shoot & scoot almost with impunity. And you know how painful that can be.
7. The Wolves have some awesome units.
