Morning all,
A few months ago we asked you all (and for any new members) to fill out some details regarding what Combat Mission games they own and play. This would help us make sure there aren't too many events in any one game and to help make sure that any proposals that come in will actually have a chance at having enough of a player base to be viable.
Well here is what everyone owns. Colours break up into separate CM game families. Modern era games to the right.
- CMBN is obviously a clear winner but surprisingly not by a lot. The other WW2 games are right behind the CMBN juggernaut.
- Pretty much everyone here ends up buying the expansions / packs without fail. It's pretty safe to set up events requiring members to have all modules with this FGM group.
- Modern era there is a noticeable step down in terms of ownership.
- Unreleased products like CMSF2 and Rome to Victory are present in the form so if you are planning to be a day 1 purchaser but have already filled out your form, please let me know with a reply below.
Do we buy the engine upgrades?
Despite the public criticism BF gets on it's own forums the answer is largely a yes, and pretty quickly to.
Finally for now. How many games and turns do FGM members generally play each week?
- Most of us have 2 - 4 games going at any one time and will commit to around 3 - 5 turns per week. This is followed by those who put in the extra miles to go 6+ turns per week.
- There is a sizeable group that plays 5 - 8 games at any given time.
- Not shown here but there isn't a lot of variance between the different games that players own. ie. CMFB owners don't tend to play more than CMBN owners etc. The only noticeable increase (and not by a lot) is with CMRT players. I guess Ost front fans are a little more zealous.
Planning an event/tournament? Contact @Badger73 in the first instance.
If you haven't submitted your Census form as of yet, you can find it here: http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/form/
