Hey fellow grognards, I finally picked up CMFB, and it's awesome. I am planning on a battle soon with @Bulletpoint , but I have time for an additional match. I can easily complete daily turns or even a few turns daily. I'd like to have an opponent that prefers to complete rapid turns as well. I have been playing as the Allies mostly, so it's time for me to embrace my heritage and play as the Germans. I am looking for a tiny to small engagement. QB or scenario is fine. I live in Colorado, so my time zone usually sets me at playing turns in the morning to accommodate players in Europe, South Africa, ect.

Noticed you updated you profile pic and didn't realize your Les Stroud from Survivor Man! Love your show dude! :p:LOL:

I'll be the marshmallow to your fire Monk! :fisher:

I am rusty as heck for both FB and WW2 in general, and have been meaning to get back into it. Note that (encouragingly for you) I have pretty much lost everything WW2 that wasn't mirrored....

I know I've played 'Last Man Out', ' Battle for Chaumont - Second Round ' and ' Cutline to Grosshau ' scenarios already H2H. Aside from those open to anything.

Note currently (COVID) doing at least 6 turns a week reliably, Aussie timezone.

My plate is a bit full at the moment, (and an assault against @Bulletpoint coming up), but i'd like to play some more FB! I guess a small/tiny battle should be doable :) . And yes with covid most of the evenings i'm home so couple of turns a day should be doable, if your still looking!

Have three very different CMFB matches going on. FB has technology and OOB changes that change your game play tactics.
Still sending the two lowest ranking or newest to the squad out to take a peek. I swear one of these Pixeltruppen muttered "Best job I ever had" before heading out across the snowy, open field.

Combined with the picture it is the most funniest I have read for a while.

Almost at the treeline!

The noose is tightening! (BTW CMFB is really a great looking game!)

I have some cool screenshots from my battle with @Bulletpoint , but I don't want to show them yet. Our forces are just beginning contact and I don't want to reveal my assets just yet.
Great shots! CMFB is indeed a great looking game. Do you have any mods installed? I run it without mods in 1440p and can't complain. Perhaps I'll setup reshade for this too, but it doesn't really need it imo.

Recognize the last one screenshot! ;-)
The situation is indeed becoming tighter and tighter for my brave defending troops. They have orders to stand until the last man, but I'm not sure if they're up to that ;-)

This driver wisely decided to bail out of his track....about 1 second too late! Guess he was thinking of a cool story to tell everyone about having his track knocked out and running to safety, when the second round blew him apart.

Finally gaining ground on the defenders on Lanzerath Ridge. This battle looked to be a slaughter, but has been quite entertaining!

The Battle of Lanzerath Ridge was fought on December 16, 1944, the first day of the Battle of the Bulge during World War II, near the village of Lanzerath, Belgium, along the key route for the German advance on the northern shoulder of the operation. The American force consisted of two squads totaling 18 men belonging to a Intelligence and Reconnaissance Platoon and four forward artillery observers, against a German battalion of about 500 paratroopers. During a day-long confrontation, the American defenders inflicted dozens of casualties on the Germans and delayed by almost 20 hours the advance of the entire 1st SS Panzer Division, the spearhead of the German 6th Panzer Army. (per wiki)

I think it was just a 37mm AP slug (no explosive filler), so I think he might have been hit by small arms fire while bailing out?

In any case, as I am sure you have seen by now, his buddies got their revenge, thanks to a well placed 20mm armoured car lurking in a hedge. You're welcome to post that shot too, so I can groan a bit more about making that mistake :)
