Donning The Purple - Roman Civil Wars - CLOSED

Are you still signing up folks for this tourney?

All the time -- I'll add your name ... as players get defeated and knocked out, the players in the challengers list get moved upwards to join the fight.

Defeated/knocked out players are also free to rejoin the fray by signing up for the challers list and wait their turn.

(see first post in this thread)

Thanks Rico.

I think @Josey Wales wants me to attack uphill AND over broken ground, hmm I don't think so.

Just a quick update.

@mTk and I are engaged in brutal fight. I think we have something like 9 turns left. Both sides are at 50%+ routed....mtk with a slight edge. It has been a tough fight on poor terrain.

I'll post something (map) later if JO doesn't beat me to it. If the game doesn't do one of those abrupt endings on us that is.
I can say that this map was the absolute most complicated to have to fight a Roman style battle that we could ever have ended up with.
I forgot to ask JO what map he "rolled." I wanna know so I never do that.

I could really use some fortuitous rallies about now! I've somewhat cracked his right flank as he has done the same to mine. I am doin my best to shift what forces I have remaining on the left to support the center and right but it is probably too late. It does not help me at all that I have lost one general and my C&C has been routed for a number of turns. It has been a fun fight! (Thank you MTK!) but fighting on the hills with rough terrain has been tough.

When playing your turn is really quick as you have hardly any units left to issue orders to. :ROFLMAO:

mTk defeats @Jolly Olly .
The end game stats just don't make much sense. They suggest I had an easy victory.
Absolutely nothing could possibly be further from the truth! The last several turns had the game being on the line with every melee result.
Thanks for the near heart attack JO! o_O
Well fought @mTk! It was definitely a nail biter watching each replay. You did well to get the better bits of high ground before I could. I was left fighting uphill across most of the line. Good battle!
