Any tips on playing as the Italians?

The aid has to be performed by the same squad the downed pixeltruppen was part of in order to collect the weapon. The SMG’s and LMG’s will get recovered along with their ammo. Officers and riflemen will both do this.

This is very interesting. Can anybody confirm this is true?

The Beretta m38 may have some higher priority ranking than the more common SMGs of other nations - it makes sense given that it was an expensive, high-quality weapon.
MP44 might be similar...
