We examined the armed forces of the three Baltic countries, their strengths and weaknesses to determine what exactly Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have right now to defend themselves both individually and as a group.

The most obvious differences in the ability of the Baltics to defend against Russian aggression naturally lie in manpower. The combined population of the Baltic states is just over six million, which allows for relatively small armed forces.
