I've just been reposting yours and Panzerknacker's visuals. :p

I haven't updated it yet. If you need me to, it will be some time tomorrow.

The DP-28 (Degtyaryova Pekhotny "Degtyaryov's infantry machine gun") was a light machine gun deployed in 1928.
It was used in many Russian tanks as well (bow and coaxial).

It was a simple and sturdy design that could work even when covered in mud and sand.
It had a low rate of fire (550 rpm) compared to the German LMG's (800-1200 rpm).

It used a pan magazine with only 47 rounds. Later designs were belt fed.
It was nicknamed the 'Record Player' because of the pan magazine which had a top cover which would rotate as it was fired.

Hello Good Men,

Hope your weekend is grand. :)

Not a complaint, but an...observation.
I'm mildly surprised by the lack of discussion on strategy in the secret forums, on both sides. From a bunch of war gamers, no less. ;)
Your CO's are doing an admiral admirable job, but apart from one or two comments it seems like a lonely role.

Many of you may be content to let the strategy unfold and simply play the battles as part of a larger story, and that's okay.
And silence is probably better than a cacophony of opposing opinions...but perhaps an occasional feedback like "seems okay to me" might be in order.
At least it lets everyone know you are still active in the campaign.

One of the things I enjoyed as CO of the Allied side in Nathangun's Battle of the Bulge campaign was presenting ideas and having a bit of a brainstorm.
Maybe things will develop a bit as the operation heats up.

I hope you are enjoying the campaign so far. I'm enjoying running it. Let me know if there is anything you need help with.

Game on! :2draw:
