CM SF2: DAR Jackal2100 (Syria) Vs. MenofWar93 (Dutch)

Minute 8

I have some new contacts this turn. on my left, what looks like a FO of some sort dashes up the far Northeastern hill, and is spotted by the 1st Pl/A CO's CO and my T90 in the village. That T90 will take a couple of potshots at him shortly and then reposition before he can bring a Gill to bear. On the right, I can see another gill in position on the ridgeline, and a group of scouts approaching me on the far right. 20210305135549_1.jpg20210305140048_1.jpg20210305135748_1.jpg

Minute 9

The FO managed to escape to the woods on the hill to the left. What's worse, the T90 who was tasked with firing on him has been immobilized by a new large caliber artillery barrage that is hitting the village hard. On the right, my T90 fired but missed the scouts, and is now trapped behind the trees, as if he tries to retreat, the Leapard on the ridge can see him and remove him. He will be popping smoke to try and withdraw safely.20210305153101_1.jpg20210305152611_1.jpg20210305150157_1.jpg20210305152548_1.jpg

Minute 10

The right flank quickly sees a Gill repositioning to try and take out my T90 on the far right, but his smoke is launched and without any sort of wind, all lanes of fire to him will be shortly masked, allowing him a chance to withdraw further back, hopefully. On the left, it looks like the Dutch infantry platoon is making it's way to assault the farmhouse again. Hopefully they leave the bodies of our heroic sniper undisturbed. Also hear the sounds of aircraft approaching, and am moving my Shilkas around for good views of fire that are still protected from the ridgeline.

Situation after 10 Minutes

So far the enemy has yet to show their main avenue of attack, but is sparing no expense when it comes to Ordinance.

More infantry on the left
Scouts on the right
FO/scouts on center hill

1 T90
about a dozen lightly injured

Still active:
9 T90's
3 Shilkas
18 AT-14's
2 SPG-9's
300+ infantry

Minute 11

The immobilized T90 in the village was not long for this world, as he was simultaneously hit by two massive explosions. One was a Gill I'm guessing and the other whatever Air Support he's brought along. I'm a little annoyed that my Shilka platoon has yet to fire on the helo that I can hear, and am going to reposition the central AA platform to hopefully get more fields of fire into the sky. The Artillery barrage continues and has taken out one of my AT14's, but it seems like mostly my men are just getting injured and not knocked out of the fight. The T90 on the right successfully moves back to a large divot in the ground to take up a secondary position under the cover of smoke. Just in time as I spot a second Leopard on the right. Is this his main focus?20210306094141_1.jpg20210306094308_1.jpg20210306094322_1.jpg

Minute 12

Artillery barrage continues. The helicopter circling my men has backed off, apparently the enemy must have seen one of my Shilkas and are terrified. Multiple Gill contacts on the left hill where the FO ran, so I am pulling back my T-90's on that flank to protect them. on the right, I've advanced a sniper team to intercept any of his scouts from continuing along that edge.20210306102510_1.jpg20210306102729_1.jpg

Minute 13

Artillery barrage continues, and the village itself is in shambles. Luckily, most of the men in the village are still in the fight, and we've only lost a couple of the AT-14's. IN worse news, my repositioned Shilka was destroyed by another Gill to the right. The rest of my armor is hiding the best it can.20210306111136_1.jpg20210306110537_1.jpg

Minute 14

The artillery barrage feels like it is just about over, and my men are praising that fact, as we have now lost 4 of our central AT14's and several more men. In the center, My tripwire squad was able to efficiently eliminate a Gill squad who was trying to move up the copse of trees. not that he knows they are there, hopefully he will devote a large amount of resources to taking them out, slowing down his assault. On the right, one of my AT-14's finally spots the rear Leopard, the first shot hits, but doesn't penetrate the lower turret. Hopefully enough to damage it though as well as the subsystems. He is now aiming for a second shot.20210308075019_1.jpg20210308075217_1.jpg20210308075113_1.jpg

Minute 15

The village has quieted down. The barrage is over. My men now tend to the wounded, grab their ammo, and get to newly made foxholes. On the right, A second missile just misses the second Leopard, and the two escape behind a wall of smoke. Most unfortunate. Finally, on my left, more Gills are moving into the wooded hill, and so I am sending another barrage to blast these pests off the map.20210311142446_1.jpg20210311142243_1.jpg20210311142601_1.jpg

Minute 16

On the left, my infantry in the creek get spots on the Dutch FO team and at least one Gill team heading further up the hill. I have one T-90 that has LOS to that area, so I am going to fire a quick burst and then retreat before he can bring his AT online. On the right, I have been slowly moving up my sniper team to fire on the Gill on the ridge that has been mocking me for a while now. In the center, the reorganization continues, and the ammo from the knocked out AT 14s are slowly being repositioned.20210312154913_1.jpg20210312155032_1.jpg20210312154701_1.jpg

Minute 17

Few things to report. On the left hill, a quick mortar barrage combined with a couple of T-90 rounds forced the FO and Javelin back down away from the area. My forces in the center are still regrouping, and I hear that pesky helo again. hopefully my other two Shilkas will take it out this time.20210315123723_1.jpg20210315123733_1.jpg

Minute 18

Not much to report. The enemy continues to retreat of the wooded hill. One of my T90's is going to do some shoot and scoot on them as they run away.

Minute 19

Apparently, my AA gunners are blind. Two of my T-90's and one of my have spontaneously combusted to Hellfire missiles, and my Shilkas refuse to shoot. If they survive this battle, they will be promptly shot for incompetence.20210320144851_1.jpg20210320144919_1.jpg

Minute 20

Another minute, and another tank knocked out by the helo, and not a single shot fired by my Shilkas. Can someone explain why my men are rebelling against me?20210320151042_1.jpg20210320151129_1.jpg20210320151144_1.jpg

No pause command. About to reverse the one on the right, just to give it an even more open angle.
