As it's been hinted on these forums for a while now, Bootie and myself are going to be running a 'gritty' CMBS Narrative Campaign in the new year. (Crossover with ARMA 3 is also likely). We're getting closer, but want to have everything in place ready to go so there is minimal delays once the orders start flowing, the tanks start rolling and the General's brows start sweating.

Firstly a big thank you to Rico who has provided input and lots of bits and bobs to make this look pretty. Rico has stepped aside so he can still sign up in the new year without spoiling any of the surprises.

 THIS IS NOT A SIGNUP THREAD

One of the ideas Rico had from the start was to use fictional nations as the two main warring sides. Given all the crap going on in the world it's a safe move and also gives us a lot more narrative freedom for the RPG elements on the forums. Also just in case the Ukraine really flares up in 2017 we don't want news bots re-posting FGM forum posts are real news stories. (Though it would be funny :p).

So we turn to you for some naming ideas about who and what we're going to fight over. We require:
Despicable Country Number 1 (Ukraine kit) -
Despicable Country Number 2 (Russian kit) -

Contested City -
Region being fought over -

The premise of the narrative is that these two eastern European countries have long contested a narrow strip of low coastal land between the two. The fact a platinum mine is also present in the region just happens to be a bonus. The population of the region is divided down the middle to where their loyalties lay. After the latest democratic referendum leads to violent protests and running militia gun battles, both Dictatorships do the neighborly thing and move in for 'peace keeping' duties.

Finally please keep it serious as our illustrious leader wants a nice 'gritty' campaign. Fighting over the city of 'Bootieland' or 'Uptonville' sort of breaks that illusion. Also I'm disappointed that googling 'Bootieland' actually turns out to be pretty tame.

Here is some fictional military music to get the creative juices flowing.

Cheers
Ithikial and @Bootie
