After viewing Mr. M. Dorosh's CMFI La Difensa map I started making my own 4 km x 4 km. After discovering that the movement and fatigue rates of troops moving on level ground and those climbing steep slopes are identical, I reached my frustration limit with CM's humbugs and have decided to toss in the towel with respect to any further creations.

A few months ago I was checking the effect of slope on vehicle movement speed and found there is none - in fact, tanks going uphill Fast were a little faster than those moving Fast on flat terrain. So, I'm not surprised that infantry is not affected by slope either.
It is perplexing. Sure it wouldn't be that hard to implement a speed and fatigue modifier depending on the slope in the direction in which the infantry is moving?
