CMSF1 Scenarios in the CMSF2 editor question

I think I read somewhere that CMSF1 scenarios are compatible with CMSF2. Should this also apply to the editor? I have noticed that I can load CMSF1 scenarios in the editor, but if I save them and try to load the saved scenario again, the game crashes completely. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

They are supposed to be compatible, but there could be incompatible elements that would cause a crash. There were a lot of under the hood changes. You could try just loading the map without the units and AI plan to se if that works.

Some SF1 scenarios are compatible with SF2
There were some significant changes to TO&E when SF2 was being developed
In those cases it is not compatible
Don't ask me what the changes were I'm just a player

Thanx. Meanwhile I have found out that I can load this scenarios in the editor after restarting the game. So it's a minor bug with a workaround.
