CMx1 titiles to be re-released Sep 10, 2025, with some changes

4k resolution supported. So they didn't just add widescreen, they put in general higher resolutions, too.
General assessment, is the resolution (2K/4K support?) and input improvements a leap forward compared to the GOG version? Working/stable?
Just as a side note I'm looking to update my CM Career Recorder to include the CM1 titles, particularly given this release and 'update'. I'm hankering for some early war action if CM1 is more playable on a modern PC with this release.

Yeah, nice surprise. Definitely more effort in here than the GoG release.
But boy do I hate incremental command delays...
I wonder if I still have an old cd lying around somewhere with all the great CM1 mods that we had back then.
I still have all my original CDs, Manuals for all three CM1 games and even the CBMM strategy guide by Mark H Walker. I kept an old laptop running MacOS(9 just to be able to run the game if I ever feel like it again. I played it almost continually for 15 years...the CD almost never leaving my CD drive of my gaming laptop. Great memories.
Oh, come on! I just bought the GOG version a few months ago! (nostalgia I guess) I’ve checked the GOG forums, but it looks like the Steam version is newer — the 2025 update hasn’t been released on GOG yet.
