Command Ops (BotB, HttR) - Someone playing one of these?

Hi Gentlemen,

as the thread title suggests I am looking for someone playing Command Ops. I am still learning this fantastic game and maybe someone is around here looking for a H2H...Preferably in a European Timezone otherwise it could be difficult finding appropriate times for gaming :).

@Alpha Zwo : I really have no clue how long it would take playing MP. Depending on the scenario I guess a few 1 or 2 hours sessions as this game is played in pausable real time. So basically the speed is determined how often and how long someone is pausing the game. And as the game is not simple I guess for the first session the times getting used to it will be quite long. But the game is very rewarding and is truly a exceptional experience. The game concept is interesting and differs from anything else I have seen. Although I am still in the process of learning I really love this game. The AI is very good (enemy and friendly as well as you are highly dependent on trusting your subordinates) but playing this multiplayer should be real deal.
As you can see I am quite new to the game, have to learn much and looking maybe for someone also trying to master this one....

@Bootie : It`s realtime yes. They call it pausable continous time. The game really is very special and as far as I know there is no other game which is similar to it. Very rewarding.
I am looking for some "distraction" from CM on a bigger, more strategic scale and also bought Unity of Command (+Addon) and Descisive Campaigns (+Addon) and try to find out wich one suits me better.

Thanks for your reply, Strachwitz. Do I understand right that MP games can be saved and continued another day ("...a few 1 or 2 hours sessions...")?

I am currently downloading the demo. :)

That`s correct. MP game scan be saved and continued. Any first impressions on the demo yet?

Have been playing around only a few minutes without having a look at the manual. Ask myself if I would be able to manage a larger battle with dozens of units in real time.

I played with this wonderful game there some time but never tested MP game. I'm interested in a small scenario if you want test. GMT +1

The key to play this is to forget micromanagement. Issue orders to battalions and let the AI commanders do their jobs. I interfere just with really difficult or crucial tasks. But I have to get used to this also.
The best to start is watching the 5 tutorial movies (I guess they are included in the Demo as the movies are about the demo scenario). This helped me a lot to get used to the unusual playing style.

Sounds great. I will contact you as soon I have time to get one game rolling! Next few days is family time :)

Ok. I always wanted to play this game against human :)

This is the largest interest of this game. You really feel instead of a commander!

OK, the game was always on my watch-list and I only held back due to the usually high price.
But since Matrix is now having their holiday sale, I bought it (including HttR).
I've played Conquest of the Aegean a couple of years back, so I'm not completely new to the concept, but I will still re-watch the tutorials.

I would be open for some MP battle, just let me know and we can try one.

Had the demo and finally bought BftB because you can't save in the demo. I have played through the tutorial twice. Managed a marginal victory in my second go round, but I restarted the scenario practicing taking the first objective multiple times. Thought I had a major victory, but the AI managed to infiltrate heavy tanks among other units at what I thought were secure objectives and happy with a marginal.
The AI is pretty good and does a good job of infiltrating. Will be awhile before I'm entirely comfortable with the interface, but I love being able to pause and see what's going on.

Very good game with a lot of details.

AI is very good.

The scale is operational wafare.

Each game is different with a great dynamic AI.

A new patch is coming soon.

I'd like to check out Command Ops 2 Core Engine. I'm having trouble getting a download. Problem seems to be with Lock 'N Load websites. All and any help is welcome.

I successfully access http://www.panthergames.com/. I click "Buy Now" which takes me to https://store.lnlpublishing.com/index.php?route=account/login. It requires you be a registered user. I previously registered as a new user but never received a confirmation email. When I try to login as an existing user it errors out saying "no match" for my userid/password. When I try to register again it says my ID is already taken. I'd log a support ticket for UserID/password help but this site requires that you need to login before you can create a ticket! Any suggestions on how to "purchase" for free and download?

Also, is Command Ops 2 playable on Windows 10?

Thanks for any help.
