...about the nicknames of the british divisions during WW2! So far I was only able to find two - the Desert Rats and the Globe Trotters. But there will be more as that two divisional nicks, or not?
And which of tthem were seen as elite divisions? That would be good to know as well.

I can give you a couple of Canadian Divisions nicks.

The Hasty Pees and St. Pat's (Patrica's light infantry)

Both fought in Italy and St. Pat's after the landings I believe.

Thanks therefor - and maybe I fall back on them later. But currently I need strongly the british division´s nicknames. Or at least what divisions were seen as elite.
