Dropbox: 1 Second Left...

Context: Combat Mission PBEM

I frequently encounter an issue on Dropbox when I try to upload a file. The upload counts down, but stops cold on "1 Second Left..."

I have to repeatedly open a new window, go back to Dropbox, and restart the process. It can take 20 tries or more to upload one of my CM turns in the shared file with the other player.

I pay for my Dropbox subscription, so this seems really bush league. Any thoughts from the community?

Are you uploading using a web browser?

The way I use dropbox is to share folders and have dropbox running on my machine where I have a folder that is synced to my HD. All I have to do is have my turn manager copy the file to the correct folder and then I just let dropbox do it's thing. I never see a progress count down and if anything interrupts access dropbox takes care of sorting it out when it gets reconnected. After I copy the file to the shared folder I am hands free from worrying about it.

Are you using a VPN? If you are, try setting your VPN to allow Dropbox to bypass it. It's probably not the problem but you never know.
