The save game file is with your opponent. Unknown opponent at this time but they should be in touch shortly.

Note: Engagement number just makes my life easier with the record sheet, don't worry that the numbers don't line up on your end.
++++++++++

Primary Mission - Advance south and push back NATO forces.
Secondary Mission - Nil.

Terrain - Map 2.

Friendly Forces - Your task force is at full strength with additional supporting assets. A forward observer has been provided so you can call in your artillery support. Lose this observer and you'll lose access to your support.

Enemy Intel - US Army mechanised forces are holding the map. Expect trained infantry forces with Stryker vehicles in support.

Weather - There is a thick haze due to ongoing fighting between NATO and Syrian forces for Damascus itself. It has become very hot in the afternoon.

Civilian Presence - Is sparse after ongoing fighting in this area.

Given how careful analysis Hapless does in his Youtube battles, be prepared for a detailed oriented oppo. That said - make him bleed nonetheless :shootero:

Put it this way... since the beginning of this campaign Hapless has been writing essays. :) Campaign Map level analysis as well as for the battles he is involved in. There's already an essay posted on how he thinks this battle will play out.

Well 3 of the VBIEDs went out. One worked just as planned and pretty much crashed straight into a Stryker and blew up. Second one had the driver spazz out and go nowhere near where ordered but I think it blew up some infantry at least. Third followed instructions and made it to the target location only to find out that the Styker had moved.

Well this went completely tits up in the last few minutes. Rest of the car bombs were taken out and didn't explode and Hapless started to push me hard.
Also lessons learned(more like remembered): Strykers have optics that can see through smoke, so laying all that smoke with the arty was kinda pointless.

Just 15 casualties and one destroyed vehicle on the American side. Last half of the battle was mostly just both sides flinging artillery at each other and me trying to sneak couple surviving RPGs around to try and get shots on Strykers. Got Couple of hits but those PG-7V and PG-7VL rounds just cant get through the cage armor.
