Note: Engagement number just makes my life easier with the record sheet, don't worry that the numbers don't line up on your end.
++++++++++

Primary Mission - Both NATO and Syrian forces have been caught out of position and must move quickly to consolidate the urban area. Syrian forces are to sweep the map from south to north.
Secondary Mission - Our beloved leader of Syria has fled Damascus and has made contact directly ahead of us. It would be a simple matter of bringing his small convoy under our protection but the British have arrived. His force must exit the map to the south.
(Warning the final line of action squares running along the southern edge of the map in your deployment zone is an exit objective. Do not deploy any of your forces there).

Terrain - Map 14.

Friendly Forces - Your mixed infantry task force of regular army units with some displaced militia (thank Bootie from last year) is at full strength and artillery support will be available in 15 minutes. Local residents and fanatics are already on site setting up IED's and observtion posts. Our leader travels in a small armoured convoy so will have some protection, but will likely grab heavy attention once spotted.

Enemy Intel - Limited. Expect a mechanised force to enter from the east of the map.

Weather - It has become it is still warm in the evening son. The weather is clear.

Civilian Presence - There are still many rioters and mobs of angry civilians covering the streets protesting NATO's actions in the neighboring city.

Should point out that the Battalion Commander unit starting to the north of the map is the Regime Leader you should aim the exit. The escort can also exit but they are just that, the escort.

This is gonna be a tough one.
I sketched out an rough idea for a plan.

As you can see the map size and the side where NATO enters the map really limits the VIP convoy's movement options. Not only is this map tiny but since NATO deploys from the east it cuts the ground they have to cover at least by half.
To make matters worse Latakia is purely on foot, deploying from open ground with no cover and completely lacks any kind of heavy weapons other than DShKs, so we can't even setup SPGs/ATGMs to lock down the highway and other long lanes of the map.
It looks like our only change to get the VIP convoy out is by hugging the west edge of the map while Latakia tries to grab as many buildings as it can to slow the Brits down and keep a route open. The IED?-mark on the map is a proposal to set couple IEDs to block possible rushes to our setup but not sure how possible that is since I have no idea how the setup zones are gonna look like.
NATO's overall timidness would help us in getting the convoy to safety but since this is a meeting engagement maybe this is the one time when they are able to get their thumps out of their asses and actually do something, who knows?

Perhaps it's a good time to mention:
1) The open space in the south which is a deployment zone has been trimmed off. Thought it was too much of a disadvantage for your guys.
2) The VIP convoy includes 3x BMP2's and 2x T-90's plus some Veteran Infantry.
3) The IED's and spies may be set up among the buildings/urban area proper.

Ok end of turn one. 90% certain commander will make it of the map... highlighted in this pic but I think my entire force will be expended as the enemy come on board with a shit tonne of APC's.

Nicely done. Do see if you you can spare some of the escort as well just in case he still needs some extra protection next turn.

Ive gave him a bit of hurt but his ATGMs hunted me down and despite trying to get of the map he caught my tanks... now he is mopping up the men.. do I gain anything by getting folk of the map same way as the regime commander went or do I just take the ass whupping until the final 59 minutes are over?

You can ask for a ceasefire and both sides will sit on the map in roughly their current positions until the next (and final campaign turn). If NATO thinks they have the upper hand... well you can surrender and go into captivity.

If you can get a cease fire that's fine, that would block NATO advance for now. But there will be no surrender under any circumstances! If they refuse the cease fire you keep going and try to bleed them to the best of your ability.

No chance of a ceasefire he is dominating the map with his APC's HMG's chewing up every building. I will keep clicking go in the hope that I might kill a man or two along the way.

I was just overwhelmed... my artillery spotter must have been Stevie Wonder, in all these battles Ive never had an IED properly activate due to hellish area fire constantly and my troops as soon as they raise an eyebrow are mown down.
