@Bulletpoint - Hark, my Danish Jarl, dragon ships are setting sail. Four (4) Viking variant armies planned in this one. The Dark Ages just got darker . . .
This DLC is scheduled for the end of September. Looks like next Autumn has bright promises for the lengthening nights; from Charlemagne through Arab Conquest and Reconquista with the ebbing tides of Byzantium. It will be fun!

I've been reading a little bit on the modders' forums and think this game can/will be expanded to include Napoleonic warfare at some point. I've love to seem them get into the ACW! This system is so flexible, other than modern warfare there seems to be few, if any, eras that can't be easily recreated. The player base is very active.
My dissing this game early on may have been, uh, a bit premature. Although I think my initial complaints are still valid the game is much better then I thought after I got a basic idea about what the hell I'm doin'.
Oh, I just discovered if you hit the <G> key it will toggle a map grid overlay. Handy.
Gadzooks! That's a pleasant surprise - Wolves at the Gate out next week
The DLC premieres with another new Slitherine tournament using it. Check out that news here.
You do not need the new DLC to play the tourney matches. Here's a good chance to play the DLC before deciding to purchase.
