You probably heard about it already:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16300956.stm

The Costa Rican goalkeeper of AZ Alkmaar saw the Ajax "supporter" just in time and could turn the tables on his attacker. The GK was subsequently sent off because of "violent conduct". Since then his red card was turned back so it will not have any consequences.

The attacker turned out to be a 19 year old man who already was banned form th estdium by Ajax becasue of previous acts but got inside on a ticket bought by somebody else. It is said he "has" ODD (something ±70% of all adolescents have; usually when you get older/grow up the symptoms go away).

This was a low point in the Dutch soccer history...

I'm a big soccer fan but these morons should be locked up for good!

Locking them up for good might be a bit extreme...There has to be a way of costing the guy extreme amounts of money....say even pay it to the guy he was casuing the problem with, that would hurt in more ways then locking him up. LOL

I dunno, I have mixed feelings about the situation. No problem with the goalie defending against the actual assault, but why must he continue kicking the guy when he's lying on the ground? That's not defending oneself anymore IMO. By the way, I am not trying to dismiss the fact that the attacking "fan" should be severly punished. I jut think the goalie overdid it some...
